Parameters accessible in the 2—Adjust menu:

• brake release frequency (brL)

• brake release current (Ibr)

• brake release time (brt)

• brake engage frequency (bEn)

• brake engage time (bEt)

Recommendations for configuring the Brake Logic control parameters:

• Brake release frequency (brL):

Set the brake release frequency to the value of the nominal slip (g)

multiplied by the nominal frequency (FS) in Hz.

brL = g x FS

g = nominal motor slip

FS = nominal motor frequency (indicated on the motor nameplate)

Example Calculation: nominal slip (g) = (Ns – Nr) / Ns

Ns = synchronous speed in rpm

Nr = nominal speed at nominal torque in rpm, use the speed

indicated on the motor nameplate
